The weather looks to be another great weekend day for a ride. 75 degrees and only 10% chance of rain.Two Rides scheduled so you have a choice....US DESMO Ride and a US 421 (The Snake).
US DESMO Ride...
Meet at the QT gas station NE corner of Rt 74 Independence Blvd at Sardis Church Road. This is different from Sardis Road so check your maps.

Depart at 11 am for the Uwharrie Forest and lunch at the Uwharrie Sportsman. 4593 NC Highway 24 27 W, Mt Gilead, NC 27306 (910) 439-4336 Come early enough so you can gas up for the ride. Plan is to ride to the Sportsman for lunch then do a loop in the forest and head back to the Sportsman for gas. Those two segments should be just under 100 miles so you should be fine if you fill up at the QT. Goal is to return by 4 PM to RT 74 near Indian Trial. If the starting point is difficult for you then contact me and I may be able to arrange a meeting point along the route so you do not have to back track so much. US 421 THE SNAKE ! (ALL day ride !)
Do not feel obligated to make the whole trip. Lot's of turnaround points where riders can scoot back to the Charlotte area...mostly slab for speed sake. Plan on all day with lunch close to the TN border. Expect to be back I Charlotte around 6PM.
Meet at the 7/11 across from MOC (Motorcycles of Charlotte) at 8:30 AM ...leave at 9:00AM. Call if running late and we can arrange a meeting point. (704) 649-4011
